First-Ever Beko Eat Like A Pro Cook-Off Contest Winner

Beko capped off their Eat Like A Pro campaign with a cook-off contest

In line with Beko’s Eat Like A Pro advocacy, the brand had a cook-off contest last August to cap off their recent campaign. The brand promotes an information dissemination campaign that aims to help parents in providing their children with healthier food choices.

“We are extremely happy for the success of our first cook-off event. As part of our global initiative, we want to raise awareness of the rapidly growing rates of unhealthy eating habits, especially among kids,” said Dyeun Zapanta, assistant general manager of Beko Philippines. “We hope to continue with our advocacy by empowering and helping parents on the importance of healthy eating for the whole family.”

According to the report released by Food Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI), it was revealed that Filipinos’ intake of fruits and vegetable is currently declining while their consumption of meat and eggs is continuously increasing. Beko believes that among those who are most affected by these bad eating habits are mostly children, especially since it can be passed on to them.

“This initiative is something we would like to continuously promote rather than a periodical campaign. Backed with our innovative products and efforts, we hope that this advocacy will prove to be effective in helping create future leaders,” said Zapanta.

The cook-off contest took place last August at SM Southmall wherein the winner took home Beko Home Appliance Showcase and Php10,000 cash. To know more about Beko’s #EatLikeAPro advocacy and Beko Philippines, like the Beko Philippines fan page (@BekoPH) or visit the website.
