Agos Boracay, your home in Boracay.

Boracay, home of the country’s famous White Beach and kite-surfing beach, has been known worldwide and visited by many for its tropical beauty. Out of all luxurious and mid-range hotels/resorts, we found our home away from home. Located along the Main Road of Boracay Station 2, we stayed in Agos Boracay, a Filipino family-run four-storey guesthouse known for its homey ambiance and hospitality. They recently received another TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice Award for the fourth time and is currently the Top 9 Best B&B in the Philippines. Congratulations, Agos Boracay! You totally deserve it.
Agos Boracay
Agos Boracay has 27 rooms with 4 room types – Superior Double, Superior, Deluxe, and Family room. For our first night, we stayed in the Deluxe room which has two double-sized beds, a flat screen cable television, desk, chair, a safety box, floor-to-ceiling windows which can be fully opened if you prefer fresh air, a kitchenette with mini refrigerator, and a bathroom with a hot & cold shower and open area. Since the room is located on the second floor, we didn’t had the hard time to go up and down whenever we want to. The guesthouse doesn’t have an elevator by the way, but they have a complimentary WiFi, a garden gazebo, and a rooftop with a wonderful view of the island.
On our second and last night, we stayed in the Family room together with our friends. The loft-type room is located in the fourth floor of the guesthouse and has four single beds and one double-sized bed. The best part of the room was the a wonderful harbor view from our window. Plus, we can stay at the rooftop whenever we want to with our friends. We can dine, drink, or just sunbathe in the morning. Breakfast was included in the accommodation by the way. They don’t have an in-house restaurant but you can bring food or have it delivered without corkage. They also have a neighbor restaurant, Rising Sun, where we had our complimentary breakfast. Staying here gave us a great spot to experience the best of Boracay because it’s only a few minutes away to White Beach, D’Mall and D’Talipapa. Plus, the place is free from the party and street noise which gave us more security, privacy, and a peaceful sleep.

Overall, it was a great stay. It was really good to be back here. The staff was still accommodating and helpful. They can also assist you in booking island activities or in-room spa services. They are currently offering a 50% discount if you book a Deluxe room directly in their website. For more details, visit their website or follow them on Facebook.

How To Get There

Public transport is available in the island. If you’re traveling from Kalibo International Airport, you need to take a 2-hour van or bus ride to reach Caticlan Jetty Port. From the Caticlan port, you have to take a 10-minute boat ride to Boracay Island then take a tricycle ride from the port going to the hostel. If you’re traveling solo, it is highly recommended to share a ride with other travelers to lessen expenses.
If you’re traveling from Caticlan Airport, which is the nearest airport and is only 45 minutes to 1 hour away from Agos Boracay, you need to take a tricycle ride going to Caticlan Jetty Port.
