SM Cinema Brings Outstanding Movie Experience To Olongapo
SM Cinema is now open at SM Olongapo Central
Now on its 65th branch, SM Cinema opened its doors in the heart of Olongapo City last September 13. Bringing an elevated movie experience, this newest SM Cinema branch features a whole new look, with fresh theater design and up-to-date technology. It boasts of state-of-the-art spectator seats, advanced laser projection technology, and the latest Dolby surround system.
“We know that as technology advances moviegoers become more critical in terms of expectations from us. That is why we are simultaneously redeveloping our existing cinemas and opening new branches.” Ruby Ann O. Reyes, SM Cinema’s Vice President for Corporate Marketing said.
According to Reyes, SM Cinema is rolling out new formats and employing new technology to ensure that it is giving its patrons an elevated movie experience. SM Cinema Olongapo Central is among the first branches to adopt refreshed facilities and updated technology.
“SM Cinema Olongapo Central is our 65th branch and it is an archetype of both our redeveloped and soon- to-open regular cinemas.” Reyes said.

The newest mall in Olongapo, SM Olongapo Central has 6 regular cinemas and a total of 736 seats. All six theaters are fixed with comfortable Opus chairs from world-class spectator seat manufacturer Ferco Seating. For crystal clear pictures and vivid colors, SM Cinema employs Christie laser projectors. And for holistic viewing experience, the theaters are equipped with Dolby surround-sound system that promises to deliver rich movie audio.
“We are happy to announce that our SM Olongapo Central branch is among the first branches to carry new features. Our patrons from the Olongapo and its neighboring towns can get to enjoy an elevated movie experience right at the heart of the city.” Reyes said.
